SULPHUR — Three juveniles have been arrested in connection to a burglary at a local home.
On March 14, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a report of a burglary and theft at a home in Sulphur. The victim reportedly told deputies that when he arrived home, he had seen three juveniles, later identified as two 16 year-old boys and one 15 year-old boy, running behind his home.
The victim then discovered a safe located in his bedroom had been opened and a prescription bottle of hydrocodine bills were missing along with two packets of cigarettes. Just hours later, CPSO deputies located the three juveniles and arrested them in connection with the burglary and theft without incident.
All were booked into the Juvenile Detention Center and charged with simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling, theft under $500, and possession of CDS II (hydrocodine) with intent to distribute.
The stolen prescription pills were recovered and returned to the victim.
